Richard Newman, Managing Partner

As Managing Partner of Reliant Security, Richard Newman is responsible for the Company's day-to-day operations, as well as its strategic direction. A technologist at heart, Richard has more than 15 years of experience in applications and infrastructure. A lead party in five successful start-ups, along with extensive experience consulting to numerous retailers, he is adept at working with both small and large organizations. His technical expertise extends to LANs, WANS, voice and data systems, wireless networks, enterprise storage and SANs, enterprise server platforms, legacy environments and information security. In addition to network and systems design, Richard has worked extensively creating software applications and brings a disciplined approach to Reliant Security's product development efforts. Richard graduated in 1991 from Columbia University in New York City.

Mark Weiner, Managing Partner

Mark Weiner (CISSP, QSA) is Managing Partner of Reliant Security. He has worked with a number of Retailers, Payment Processors and Card Brands in support of their PCI compliance needs and has been a featured speaker at National Retail Federation and PCI Standards Council events. Mark has over 15 years of experience in Information Technology. Most recently, he served as Vice President and Global Practice Manager of the Security Practice for SAVVIS, Inc, the world’s largest web hosting provider. Through SAVVIS and its predecessor companies, Exodus and Cable & Wireless America, Mark held a variety of executive roles in Sales, Professional Services, Product Development and Operations. He was an early pioneer in driving practical, cost-effective implementations of security policy and compliance requirements. An engineer by trade, Mark has BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering. Mark also earned an MBA from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business.

Steve Oakie, Vice President, Sales and Marketing

Steve is responsible for leading Reliant Security’s sales, marketing and customer service efforts designed to strengthen brand awareness, gain market share and drive sales. With more than 20 years of experience in sales, marketing and sales consulting in retail business software and services, Steve brings high-level strategy and expertise in sales and marketing. Steve recently served as Senior Vice President of Business Development for Alvanon Inc, a consulting services provider to the retail apparel industry. Prior to his tenure at Alvanon, Steve managed North American Sales for the Retail Division of Epicor Software, a global ERP Software Company. Steve began his sales and marketing career at Novartis Pharmaceuticals in East Hanover, NJ. Steve attended Kean University in New Jersey, majoring in Business Administration and Marketing.

Eiwe Lingefors, Chief Security Architect

Eiwe is responsible for overseeing design and development of the Reliant Security product offerings. With over 15 years of Information Security experience in senior engineering roles, Eiwe brings a wide breadth of technical knowledge ranging from low level development to complex enterprise infrastructure design. He has led successful security engineering efforts in finance, technology, pharmaceutical, academic and retail companies. Eiwe graduated in 1996 from the New Media School of Nacka in Stockholm, Sweden.

Phil Stead, Vice President, Retail Systems

Phil is responsible for leading the expansion of Reliant's security solutions for retail merchants. This includes the design of secure systems to process payments and meet PCI requirements in store systems, enhancement of Reliant's products and services to meet emerging requirements and direct client engagement. He brings over 15 years of experience in the leadership, development, integration and support for retail solutions. Before joining the Reliant Security team, Phil served as Director – Store Systems & Implementation for KWI – a SaaS retail technology solution provider - where he led all front end Point-Of-Sale development and implementation efforts spanning over 125 different global retail brands.
